Recently we introduced a 50,000 ft3/hr exhaust and containment system to a) reduce our aircondition needs and b) heat the building during the winter months. This containment method means we don't have to try and cool the hot air (expensive and hard on the environment). We also don't "waste" cold on staff walkways or non critical areas. This combined with our agressive hot/cold lane management, thermally isolated stand-alone racks and advances in liquid cooling means WeDoHosting is at the forefront of data-centre greening.

WeDoHosting.com's state-of-the-art Internet Data Center was the first of its kind in Victoria. We were the first managed hosting facility to have it's own generator and recently we upgraded from 15Kw to 65Kw to meet our growing needs. This generator is powered by bio-diesel and only used during blackouts to mimimize our impact on neighbors and the environment. Our entire building is now under the generator so staff can keep working during any kind of outage and also act as a "disaster assembly" area should conditions merit.

We've also recently upgraded our grid connection and are planning an additional 400A of services to be added over the next three years. Our new exhaust and cooling systems will allow for an additional 1200U of server space in this current facility.
