MonsterControlsD

MonsterControlsD is an exclusive suite of software applications available to WeDoHosting.com Linux dedicated customers. All WeDoHosting Linux dedicated servers receive MonsterControlsD free of charge.*

You must install it on your server before it is initialized. Please login to your server. Change to root user (enter su and hit return, then type your ROOT password) and run the setup bot (as ROOT type setup and hit return) You will choose "1. Install/reinstall features" and then find the corresponding menu number for "MonsterControlsD." It will then ask you for a domain name on the server to install MCD to. Please choose the MAIN domain of your server. You can now access MCD at the following location:

http://domain-on-the-server.com/cgi-bin/monstercontrolsd. The logins for MCD will be "webmaster" and the password you assigned to "webmaster" when you had your server initially pre-configured. If you do not remember the password, you can reset it by logging into your server with Telnet or SSH and changing to ROOT user and typing: passwd webmaster

Main Features of MonsterControlsD:

• Shows total number of IPs used and available on the server
• Shows total amount of disk space used and available on the server
• Shows actual and projected bandwidth totals for the server
• Shows base domain of the server
• Displays server name
• Displays base IP of server

The four subsections of MonsterControlsD are Overall System Status, User Management, Server Management, and Domain Options.

Overall System Status:

Shows:

• All services that are running on the server
• All end-users who are surfing domains on the server or making any FTP/Telnet/POP3 connections to the server
• DNS entries for each domain and allows the server administrator to reset the IP associated with the domain
• Amount of available free and used RAM on the server
• Server load
• Number of active available and used server connections
• Server load average from last hour, last 10 minutes and current
• Total amount of consecutive minutes server has been up and responding
• Last time the server was rebooted and by who

Allows you to:

• Reset any user's password on the server including the root user
• Restart services that are not running

User Management:

• Change passwords for any user
• Add new users

Server Management:

• Show processor quantity and speed and check integrity of each
• Show internal temperature of machine
• Show Real Server connections, restart if needed
• Reboot entire server
• Show Administration information for the server including server owner contact information
• Request server support
• Request administration time - emergency and regular time
• Online manuals and F.A.Qs to pre-installed server software
• Spam filters
• DoS filters
• Ability to block any IP address from accessing the server via FTP, Web, POP3, SMTP, Telnet, SSH, or any other connection

Domain Options:

• Add a new virtual hosting domain to the server
• Add new FTP/Telnet/POP3 users for server wide access or domain by domain access
• Modify disk quotas
• Delete domains
• Park domains
• Change DNS entries
• Perform MX record changes
• Install/Re-Install/Delete FrontPage extensions
• Install/Re-Install/Delete and configure 24 freeware scripts
• Install/Re-Install/Delete and configure Wusage web-based visitor tracking statistics
• Install mySQL databases
• Install mSQL databases
• Perform server wide content backups
• Perform domain level content backups
